Thrall, go to the top of the task bar, and click where it says main. In the far left hand corner, there will be a box that says "Site Navigation" . Scroll down, and it's about halfway down.

Now, conversely - yes cali is right, if the board doesn't want suggestions, take down the suggestion box (however, I don't see any suggestions, just complaints and criticism)
I think it's a slick layout and change is good for the soul!!

Okay, I followed the link and reread what we were saying back in January. I was surprised to notice that I was not too happy with the change from a dark background to a light one! (Honestly, I don't remember that. Was it dark before?) Consequently, I'm going to have to withdraw my objections and state that "Yes, I do like it." Or at least I apparently did last year.Quote:

The colors could change the range of the spectrum, and I would make the same suggestion every time. (did so in Jan)
Let me choose my color scheme.
I can choose my font, I can choose my text colors, I can choose my AV, I can choose all kinds of things on the site.
I know it's possible to allow custom color schemes on a site, and I know the programing isn't that difficult. Will I leave the site because I don't like the colors? Most likely not, but I will tell you that I don't come to the site as often as I used to. Mostly because I find a lack of creativity here more so than other places I frequent.
I know others have been banned because they critizise the Admin, I got close myself once for that very thing. If I do, it's no skin off my finger tips, I do go other places, and do other things with my time, and will continue to do so.
BTW, I'm not complaining, I am making a suggestion.
Also, you might know, if the site had an option to pay for membership, I would. If it meant I could dump the banner ads, and get custom colors. I wouldn't be surprised to hear others felt the same.
As was back in January the same suggestions as in July the same answer. This V-bulletin and current programming will NOT support the multiple color schemes or mulitple fonts.
In addition Admins will always take and appreciate constructive criticism and open suggestions,,,BUT what will not happen or be allowed is the constant "hammering" that is received each and every time a change is made to the site.
Have members been banned because of this YUP,, including & unfortunately that again happened, Reason the member won't let it drop and move on even after multiple warnings, the member changed a "request" into a "Demand" then into an insult,of the site and a personal attack on the site owner and the Site Admin ,THAT will not be tolerated. hence that equals BANNED for life!
And again please read up this post ""The horse is already Glue"
The colors, font and main page layout are staying why simple since the change our membership has been increasing at the rate of 70-80 new members A DAY !! Stories posting UP !! Hits on the site WAY UP + 500 a day !!! Hence the overall majority LIKE !

I like the new look but I also have to say that it is exhausting to look at the dark screen for a longer time. Still the new layout is mature and I like the simplicity.

Tufty was having problems on thurs with this matter but he found the problem thurs night.
I myself is having problems that when i open the library im finding im having to sign in again.. oh and digging out my password even tho i have remember me ticked

As T said, the front page was having a little behavioral problem. Tiger is working on it. Thanks for bringing it to our attn because it's something that yes, needed to actually be fixed. It's being fixed.
In the meantime...
Often when we are changing things around, the server reboots. This sometimes means that *gasp* you have to re-log in, or re-enter your password, or, even, heaven forbid, re-type in the actual address to the site. Yes, we're all lazy & creatures of habit & like it to just boot up perfectly. But right now, it is going to have a snag here & there. So please be patient and perhaps try what Mistress2boytoy suggested and directly come into forums at http://www.bdsmlibrary.com/forums and log in that way.
The forums DO go up & down right now, and have been for the past few days, while we make structural changes to the areas & the site & VBulletin. It is the way it HAS to work in order for the changes to be immediate. Rather then pulling the entire site down for 6-7 days to do these changes, we left it up, so you would all at least have SOMETHING, if not perfect access.
PLEASE be patient. If I sound a bit pissed off/perturbed, it's simply because Tiger & Torq are working around the clock trying to get everything up & put together and everyone is just continuing to whine about this & that... Torq will be SURE to post a "ok we're done... any remaining issues?" post as SOON as we're done updating... just as he has the previous times.
This has nothing to do with the site being free, or us not loving the members, or any other mumbo jumbo... it simply has to do with logic & real life--- Rome wasn't built in a day, the site can't be updated in a day either--it's a monster, which you don't really appreciate until you are behind the scenes & looking at the server...
Again, PLEASE just have patience, that's all we ask :) :)

Thank you all, especailly Tiger & Torq. I realize that 99% of the worked goes unrealized by 99% of the users. When I clicked on my bookmarked link I came straight into the members section, withou logging in. Inever save logins or passwords, on any site, anywhere, anytime. I'm also getting a heuristic virus warning from Antivir, the bug is reported to be in my Firfox profiles and only pops up when I click the link. I'm going to do a scan and scrub...but it's possible that a critter has found it's way in here. just a great BIG THANKS!!! and a heads up.
