Yes, this kind of camp actually exists, though I've never had the good luck to join one (the few I've hard about nearby are arranged by leather gay men). But at least in North America, there are regular camps every summer.
Most of the BDSM camps I know are by membership.
And you can only get in by invite.
Guests are escorted or so I have been told.
The One I attended once by invite I found rather disgusting members there.
I didn't hang around long.

Does anyone happen to know of real bondage or sex slave camps in California? I am looking for this type of camp where you spend some time totally submitting based on the camp rules.

I know here in England and in Australia camps like you are asking about are def by membership only. Plus you have to be vetted by another member also, then can only go via invite only

About the only place I have heard of which is anything like this would be the Other World Kingdom but that is Fem Dom and in the middle of Europe somewhere.
It sounds like the stuff of BDSM fantasy so I do hope that these places do exist and that they are run well :) If anyone does set one up, I'd consider it.
Yesthey do exist but I assume they all keep things pretty tight for obvious reasons. My wife and I recieved an invite and travelled from England to Tennessee U.S.A and spent five days at one of these camps. It was very much worth the effort but you have to be prepared to totally let yourself go.
I read about an event in one of the major east coast cities, but im not sure which one,could be NY they reserve a hotel for a weekend and have all kinds off activeties

Sorry... mixed message there... I know OWK exists (and would love to go there... :) ).... I was saying that I hoped the places described in this thread exist as what is described is similar to OWK but not quite the same. Sorry if you read my message wrong.
most events I have seen are camping events mostly. In so cal, there is camp spanky. It is a place for camping, with bdsm activities, usually done individually.
