Her ears perked as she listened quietly, remaining expressionless as he spoke and inciting timid curiosity. As he paused, she turned slowly to look at him in time to see his gaze shifting to a nearby table and perked a brow. Her bright eyes followed his to where the men were sitting, her fingers moving to remain idle by the hilt of her dagger. They didn’t look kind, and tiny glances were beginning to send waves of disgust over her. What he said could very well be true and if that was the case she would need to swallow her pride. Relaxing a little, she wearily brushed her bangs back with her hand.

Khaera fixed her gaze on Ash once more, her eyes hardening in deep thought. What choice is there really? Leave with this fellow though he’s been kind thus far… or take a risk not worth the endeavor…? After all the travel, it would be nice to rest a while and even if she were to find a peaceful road, they could catch her off-guard in her sleep.. She sighed, slightly frustrated as she realized this was the only logical choice. “Well… you’ve caught me a little short-handed here Ash. But alright, I’ll take my leave with you and accept your hospitality… you have my gratitude.” She gave a short curt nod then slowly slid from her seat, rising to stand tall beside the table. “Let us go before it gets dark. It’s been a long day.” With that said, she began to head towards the door, her hand reaching out to grasp the brass knob. Khaera paused and looked to Ash, patiently waiting for him to guide her to his manor.
