Tucked away in a dim corner, he sat in silence while sipping on his long island. Nobody ever seemed to notice him, but he took notice of everyone and everything around him. He expected to find just the unsavory types of people to do his bidding and had a worthy selection of potential targets.

Candy was the perfect treat for his type of clientele. Young and overconfident with a touch of naivety. It was always a pleasure to look into the eyes of such prey as they were welcomed into their new reality.

He panned the room in search of the two men he had eavesdropped on the last night. He knew that they would be back and needed to stop them from doing something stupid. With the right maneuvering, he could actually use them to his benefit.

His eyes caught notice of Jake at last, who was honed in on Candy as she danced. He knew that Jake would lead him to Leroy and that time was not on his side.

A waitress approached to refill his drink and he reached into the pocket of his suit coat to produce a card holder. "Keep my drinks coming. Also, give this card to the man in the green shirt at the table over there. Tell him that it is in his best interest to have Leroy give me a call."

The moment the waitress refilled the drink and walked toward Jake's table, he rose quietly from the table. When Jake looked to find him, he would be gone, but the ominous undertone- the fact he knew Leroy's name- would be enough to get them to capitulate. These would be the men he would employ to kidnap Candy.
