I'm not a subbie prone to disobedience, but it happens...or happened. In His dealings with me right after it, He immediately reverted to speaking to me in the third person. He also expected me to respond in the third person. It was quite a shock and most definitely not an experience I wish to repeat soon. But it did get me thinking:

To the Dominant members:
Do You sometimes expect Your submissive to respond without using the personal pronoun?
If yes, what would those circumstances be?
What would be the effect You want/expect on the submissive?

To the submissive members:
What are your experiences? Is this something positive for you? Or negative?
Do you find it effective (whether as play or punishment)?

I am a member of another board and a submissive who is into objectification had her personal pronoun removed in all BDSM dealings. She wrote her experiences and people on the board were downright rude in the way they judged, what is to her and her Master, something very special.

Why do you think people react so negatively to hearing/ reading: 'she is' or 'this girl is' instead of 'i am'?
