Hi. This thread will be very long and ongoing, but I'm doing it out of extreme interest and a desire to learn. I feel we all have stuff to learn about ourselves and others in the BDSM community. Why do we connect sex with predation, violence with love? It's an ancient question really, and I'm not attempting to answer it but I am attempting to figure out the traits of a person who's into this stuff.
For example, are sexual dominants generally dominant in all aspects of life? Is it the reverse, with them generally being quiet and submissive except for in the bedroom? Does it not matter? Are outgoing people sadists and reserved people masochists? Are sad people S&M junkies?
Here's the proposal...
First, describe yourself. Tell us if you're a happy or sad person, and tell us your view on the world and on life in general. Talk about your views, if any on philosophy and religion. There's no need to be politically correct. I want the truth. Talk intimately about yourself and your feelings.

Next, there's an interesting personality test in the link above. Take it, as long as it is and copy/paste all of your results, ESPECIALLY the "Trait snapshot".
What do I want from all this?
IT'S FOR SCIENCE!!! This is first and foremost. How neat would it be to see emotional or mental patterns emerge among male and female submissives and dominants?
IT'S FOR FUN!!! This is as nonsexual as it is sexual, if that makes sense. It's intimate and deep, but it's recreational... I'd really love to meet people here in a personal way.
I'll go first. Have fun.
