I've been thinking about what you said about cleaning the sofa, but have got myself tied up in knots (kinky!).

We both know that a slave is owned therefore if, for example, a slave damages/harms their body due to their own actions that can be regarded as "criminal" damage to someone else's property - i.e. their owner's (therefore can lead to severe punishment). It therefore follows that a slave is responsible for ensuring that their health is not put at risk. In a similar (but not so obvious) way subs must have the same responsibility for their own well-being.

So, using cleaning the sofa as an example, if I felt that swallowing all those animal hairs could cause me to choke thus risking damage to my health, would it not be within bdsm rules/guidance/good practice to remove that potential hazard, e.g. by vacuuming up those hairs, in order to then be able to safely execute an anticipated instruction to lick the sofa clean (of anything remaining)? Of course I might just be imagining a non-existant risk, if nobody has ever come to harm by swallowing animal hairs - therefore a counter argument would be I should always trust a Mistress/Master to know any risks associated with an order.
