Thanks for these images,ElectricBadger.much like analog vs digital in the world of audio,where many proclain analog audio is richer and warmer in tone,black and white photos posess a similar richness and warmth that their digital counterparts lack.I belive these black and white images you have so graciously shared with us here, well illustrate that point.

I think you make a very valid observation here ,suchaminx.The elements of contrast do tend to feature the person vs the background.Especially so in the last picture in this collection.

Nice pics there Badger. B&W helps us focus on the play of light and shadow, thus highlighting the thinds we normally miss.

The photos are wonderful. Black and White certainly leads the eyes to detail. The translucent ice does capture the imagination but my vote is for the storm clouds with the model trapped between to poles below high tension wires. Certanly a shot that if filled with high tension.
