BDSM communities

So im new here, and more or less to the BDSM community at large. im not entirely sure where to post this question but...I know there are communities, clubs or societies, not sure what theya re called, in areas related to D/s and BDSM. Get togethers and what not...meet people in the community. how would I go about finding about those in my area?

Try google it cause that sure is a help normally. It all depends on where you live though.
