Since you ask the question...
I think and feel very strongly that you (or anybody else) have no business ignoring the rules of the English language and inflicting on the reader that silly rigmarole of 'Y/you'. It breaks the rhythm of reading to the point that it becomes a chore, and seeks to convey, through lazy if arbitrary typographic conventions, what should be conveyed through words, turns of phrases, descriptions, whispered asides, all of which are a writer's legitimate and time-honoured tools of the trade.
Nothing personal, I had to say it... I am astonished that native English speakers (not my case) seem to harbour no feelings whatsoever about this issue.
