Anyone marry their sub/master?

I am proud to say that the engagement between Vixey and I is on it's way. We have already chosen a ring, I just had to have her with me when I did it. I had to see it on her finger before I chose it. Plus I know that the anticipation will be delicious for her. I have a few ideas in mind as to how I will actually present it to her, but that will be a discussion for another time.

We have spoken about how the ring will symbolize much more than just our engagement. It will be the most public mark of possession. Like a collar that is worn at all times, instead of just when we play.

Would love to hear more opinions on this.

We didn't start with any of this till after we got married, but I can say it's certainly brought us closer together and helped us immensely with our communication. From what I've seen from y'all, I think you've got a great head start on being able to communicate well, and that's the essence of any good marriage. That and trust, another BDSM cornerstone.

In some sense, I think a ring is the ultimate form of collar.

As for giving her the ring, well....you seem pretty creative, Phoenix. I think you'll do something pretty amazing. Of course, you will probably want to do a few things that might be situations for a proposal before you actually plan to give her the ring. Heighten the tension and all that.

congratulations! I haven't married my dom, but I sure am hoping to. We have both just started the D/s relationship and have been together for over a year, living together for more than half. Just last night he said something along the lines of how it feels that a missing piece of himself has be placed and that he felt like he falling in love with me all over again. I would have to say that was the most beautiful thing he has ever said to me and I couldn't help but cry. I am glad he feels that way because I feel the same. Before he was saying that he wasn't ready to commit that he was afraid that he would find somebody else and now he is saying that he doesn't have that fear anymore. I am hoping that this will become so much more for I feel I would be lost without him.

If I was to enter a serious D/s real time relationship, it would be one where I'd be thinking about marriage down the road. After all, if you can share a bond that requires as much trust and respect as D/s, and if you're truly into each other for more than sex, it shouldn't be that big a jump to husband/wife, would it? The founding principle of a good relationship of either form is trust, after all.

Nope, not a chance of marriage with my Dom - he's already married and unless the laws change...lol, only joking. Congradulation.... We were married before the life style, I know that being in it has increased the trust and love between us. So you already have a leg up on most everyone else.

I am married to my slave for almost 11 years. We had some rough times in the beginning because we were pretty young, but about 6 years ago we started playing around in the ideas of Master/slave life and discovered ourselves (so to say). What started as a game or weekend fun became our life. I can't say that there are not trying times, but we have not had battles like we used to. We spend so much time talking about everything now that there is not anything hidden between us.

I make decisions for her that I then must justify to our lifestyle. For example, the collar that she wears everyday. I would love to see her in a heavy collar, but we have children and we have people over all the time, sometimes unexpected. I don't want to have her worried about it, even though sometimes I do have her wear it at night when the kids are in bed. During the day, she wears one of several differnet styles that I chose for her. She has a choice of which one to wear on most days. She wears one from dawn to dusk as well as a bracelet 24/7.

It has been a wonderful 6 years as Master and slave and we are looking forward to many, many more. I hope that your relationship only grows through your marriage. I know ours did and continues to grow.

This is a note that I wrote to my slave wife about a year ago. I ran across it in cleaning up my computer a while ago. I feel it illustrates how deeply our relationship has grown and would use it here as an example of how slavery in marriage can better both partners.

We have been married 11 years, but have only been Master/slave for 6. It started out as playing around, 1 month as your slave kind of games.
