    Defeating bad habits

I have a procrastination problem. I put things off until it looks like I won't have time to get them done, then I rush to finish. The thrill of pulling it off is addicting. Of course, the problem is if something comes up, I don't get done what needs doing.

My master and I have been working to fix this problem, and I've been making 3 step forwards, 2 steps back type progress. Slow and frustrating.

Well, lately it seems like we've made a break through. All week I did the things I was supposed to do when there was still a reasonable amount of time to do them. Then on Friday I completely rocked it. I got up when Sir did (he gets up crazy early) and started as soon as he left. I did all my studying, ran, did all my chores, and went to my class. I was done 2 whole hours before he was supposed to get home. And then he got home an hour and a half early! He was so surprised everything was done; he was so pleased he was giddy. Usually he's very calm and collected, but he was so excited he was tripping over himself, changing his mind about what he wanted to do with me. I'm still beaming. I feel all warm and fuzzy. Yay!

So I just wanted to share my happy triumph. Maybe someone else has a happy story to share?

    Well done, Naomi!

I've had some luck with my wife's habit of biting her nails...whenever I see her doing it, I slap her hands...*wicked grin* even in public. She still does it when she's really stressed, but she has actual NAILS now!

Woohoo! Congratulations...bad habits are such a hard thing to get rid of, and as you said such a slow and frustrating process -- and you just did it. Keep it up and keep on beaming!

Congrats! My bf is currently working on my problem of overeating. I don't always overeat, but sometimes he makes really yummy food and I try to eat everything he puts on my plate. This ends up with me having a very bad tummy ache. The process is down to me announcing when I am feeling full and him telling me to stop. Otherwise I just eat until I almost puke. I feel like a dog sometimes. lol

Congratulations on getting started on breaking a bad habit.

For me the hardest bad habit to break was smoking up to 5 packs of cigarettes a day.

For me the easiest bad habit I ever broke was smoking up to 5 packs of cigarettes a day.

    LOL WB.

My old man said quitting cigarettes was easy.

He must have done it 50 times.

Ha ha. Same with quitting procrastination, nail biting, overeating and everything else we'd all like to quit. It's staying with it that's the problem. Here's hoping for the best. . .

Thanks to everyone for the congratulations.

My Dom is helping quit this habit, I have my bad days when I'm stressed. It is helping, I can put on nail polish, make them all pretty for him - and run them down his back

I also have the procrastination problem, he's helping with that too.

I'm such a mess *giggle* But having a Domly one helps a lot.

Yes and from what I remember in real life it didn't look like you needed to lose any weight.

Do they make diet beer? OH yeah, that's that light shit I drink, isn't it?

Procrastination just makes itself feel so necessary sometimes. The cool thing though (as a master procrastinator) is when you do get into the habit of getting up early, going to the gym, paying all the bills, getting stuff DONE...you feel like a total rock star for managing to do the things other people just take as a matter of course.

I am laughing over here! Can I wear go-go boots?? If so, then count me in!

~tosses back my hair, holds my hand up in that way they do and says with a sexy smile~ I'm a rock star, baby!

    ~sighs~

The effect of that is completely lost in online translation.

Hey, as long as I get to wear go-go boots, I'm there.

Enjoy the busy and your out of state guests. May neither over stay the welcome.

This is so true. Procrastination must be the the most fun to quit, because there are such awesome benefits. I am still rocking it and it is great. Hopefully I'll be able to keep it up once the rockstar feeling wears off. Or maybe it never will. "Booya! Picked up the arthritis medication, cleaned my dentures, and fed all 20 cats ON TIME. Rock!"

    Procrastinating

Congratulations!!!, sometimes I wish I could procrastinate a bit, Im the complete opposite way, I have to do whatever task I have at hand, wether its from my owner or for school right away because it blocks out all other thoughts, and sometimes man, that stuff is time consuming

Ooh, ooh! Can I be in the band? Pretty please? But not until I take singing lessons, learn how to dance, grow my hair six inches...wait, all those things have been on my to-do list for.......20 years now?! Yep, I'll be ready for the band - someday.

Yea, I'm like like E.B's wife--nail biter. I usually chew my nails when I get bored, but it's not that easy in this cold weather when I'm wearing shoes all the time.

Well, sure I could post a picture, WB, but it would be kind of embarrassing for me. See the thing is I'm usually sitting naked infront of the telly watching Opa when I do it...bite my nails that is... *gg*

But more seriously, Naomisagoodgirl really is a good girl, isn't she? *s*
