Today, I celebrate my 53rd birthday, my big question is will this be my last one? I just realized that most of you really don't know a lot about me so I am going to tell you a little bit about myself.
Let's start off with the things that I love.
First and foremost, the most important love in my life is my God, yes I am a Christian, and that's the main reason why I am not afraid of dying, because I know that when I close my eyes for the last time on this side, when I open my eyes on the other side first thing I will see is the face of Jesus.
Second and close behind my love for God is my love for Laura Anne, she is a blessing that God has given me, she has brought me so much pleasure over the months that I have known her, not just from being my sub, but being a friend, and my love.
Third, my friends, they had been so supportive over the last year since I started dealing with all of these illnesses, it's incredible that I have such friends.
Forth, my country, yes I love the USA, I know that this country makes many mistakes, but it is still the best country that I have ever seen, I can truthfully compare it to several Asian countries that I have visited in the past, unfortunately I cannot compare it to any European countries because I have never visited them.
My career, I have been a respiratory therapist for almost 27 years, I love my job, and one of the things I hate so much about being ill is not being able to participate in my job anymore. I loved helping people, making them feel better, and knowing that in some small way I indeed made a difference in somebody else's life and helped them to feel better, and occasionally save somebody's life.
My favorite food is a nice rare steak, or prime rib.
My favorite beer, is of course Coors, since I grew up in Colorado, Coors was the first beer that I ever got drunk on. I also love Bailey's Irish cream.
Things I hate.
The thing I hate the most is injustice, I believe that every person in the world should be allowed justice.
Intolerance, it took me a long time to learn this, as when I was younger I was very intolerance, especially towards gay people.
Stupidity, stupidity ruins more people's lives than anything else, not just their own stupidity but the stupidity of the government and world around them
Bureaucracy, keep it simple stupid.
That's it for now. Remember if you are American, to vote in November, and vote often
