    Re: OMG at my mother

My frist job after college was as a night accountant at a hotel--saw my dad sneaking out of a room one night and NOT with my mother. Gotta admit I was shocked at first and then realized that pop was human--I think you have human parents

my collar is just a silver lock made from an antique coin which i wear on a thin leather string.

i knew my mum doesn't like that type of jewellery very much but so far she never said anything when i came home few times last year, a week or so a time. but this time she asked why i am constantly wearing that lock around my neck.
i just told her i got it from SN for valentines, (which is true and she met him, so used his real name) and that it is an antique. this seemed to have satisfied her for now. i just hoep she never sees that i am pierced a few times now. she would suffer a stroke.

I think my mom knew that something was a little "off" with me while i was growing up. lol Of course, like everything else in our lives, she chose not to talk about it in the hopes that we could all pretend to be "normal." I remember masturbating to orgasm at a very young age and it seems like my mom was always telling me to get my hands out of my pants. In highschool, i worked at the local movie rental place and used to smuggle porn out in regular movie boxes. I'd watch it in my bedroom, on my waterbed, and use the muscle massager in very strategic places. yuummmy My mom even found the porn once and all she could say was, "i hope your father never finds out you are doing this." I told her i wouldn't watch it anymore....that i was just curious...stuff like that. I think i waited a whole week before i brought more home, knowing she would never check again. She also never questioned why the massager was always under my bed.

    Interesting thread

I was adopted at two weeks old in 1963 and found my birth mother in 2000. Since then we've become very close (I left home at 17 and whilst have no issues with my adoptive parents we just having nothing in common) and I've spent the last weekend with her in Europe. Weeelll....I finally came clean and told her about the details of my relationship with my Master - she was soo cool and unfazed! She brought me an unexpected cuppa in bed this morning and made no comment about the collar around my neck - Adrianne, I love you.

My daughters are grown and have come to accept that their father and I have sex on a very regular basis and that I enjoy it.
    <grin>
Now, how they would react to my "kinkier" tendencies, I'm not sure. I hope they are more open-minded than I would have been at their age.

My daughters started talking to me openly abut their sex lives after they got out of college. I knew I had to react with an open mind as I hear my babies tell me these things, so I pushed all the queasy feelings aside and listened and shared my own vanilla experiences. This sharing has brought us much closer.

I don't know if I will ever talk to my girls about my submissive desires, though.

I would be glad if I were you that your mom reacted positively to your collar. Maybe you will be able to talk to her about it without feeling queasy one day. Maybe it will bring you two closer.

That is awesome, Song. My mother would die or a heart attack if she ever knew. I was checking my email the other day at their place and she looked over my shoulder. And in my inbox were several messages indicating posts for this site as well as from email groups to which I belong. I explained that they were all junk mail.

She then said. "I've heard of BDSM. In fact I read a book not too long ago about a man who contacted women over the internet who was involved in it and then killed them and stuffed them into barrels. People like that are sick. Why would they do that sort of thing."

So, I just remained mute and nodded my head with false agreement.

My dad on ther other hand would probably be pretty cool about it since he is a raving pervert anyway, LMAO.

i've been in the same situation and i didn't like having to lie to her but i realized that the conversation/arguement that might ensue would be much worse than just denying it to be of any value.

i believe many mothers (especially mine!) would react the same way because they can't comprehend that her child would want to give up the independence she fought so hard to earn for them and that there exists a happy and healthy side of BDSM...

Oh well, maybe one day no one will fear what they don't know and independence will be something no one fights for because it will have been won for everyone...but then again, i could just be overly optimistic...

I remember something similar to that happening here... people getting stuffed into barrels and left in a bank vault for quite a few years. Don't think it's the same story though, but I can't remember enough details.
As for my parents... I honestly have no idea what they would think!

I lent my laptop to my dad one day, and he apparently used the internet and saw the history. He sorta made a strange comment about the "websites out there these days" when he handed it back. It was awkward to say the least, but he didn't make a big deal out of it.

It's probably not the same one. This one was fairly recnet...as in the last few years I believe. I remember hearing about it when I was living in Texas.

It is funny though how people react when I tell them that TG and I met online in a chat room. They have the reaction...well what if he was a serial killer *gasps* And what if that lovely young man you;d meet at a bar is? There is no way to tell no matter whenre you meet them.

What I find totally amusing is that my grandmother was shocked when I told her I was moving to Texas. She told me that "there are so many killers down there right now." Well, about a week before I left, the executed a man for raping and killing a nurse in Houston...the kicker was that the guy the excecuted was from Jasper, Alberta, which is just the next town over from where I live AND he used to rent the basement suite from my other grandmother when my dad was a kid *shivers* So the point I made to her was that it doesn't matter where you from or where you go or how you meet, there are psychos everywhere.

    Now, back on topic.

I think it's great when parents can be so open minded about their childrens lives, especially when it involves something controversial as BDSM. I knew a woman who was into it, her daughter discovered the fact and now they are both involved.

I believe that TG's mother knows about our "alternative" lifestyle and she hasn't said anything. I think she is a little bit more open minded than my mother.

My Mom has been real cool about my sexuality. On ocasion she has been over when pieces of furnature were out. When asked I gave her a line about theatre props or a project for a freind. And she has found collars cuffs and other goodies in the car. Her take has always been "be safe and have fun". Sometimes you never know.

song a question. Did you ever buy her the collar?

Oh god - I've had too many of these types of embarassing episodes that I can't count.

As for the apple falling close to the tree... well:

When I still lived at home, my bedroom was immediately underneath my mum and step dad's bedroom (it was a two story house). And once or twice a week you'd hear the floorboards above me began to rythmically squeak. A few times I thought I heard spanking but pushed it to one side. After I'd moved out of home my sister took over my old room and verified that she too heard the noises. A few years later my Step Father admitted that mother liked a solid spanking from time to time...

As for embarrasing episodes I can think of two. Some family friends own an eco resort out in the middle of nowhere next to a state forest. The better half and myself went up for a midweek holiday. Anyway, we knew that the owners had to bugger off to the city for a day during our stay so we took our suitcase of "toys". Anyway, amusing times were had and when it came time to leave we checked everywhere to make sure we had picked up all our stuff.

We arrived back in the city and I got a call. "Hi - did you leave a three foot length of dowel in your room. It's got some funny attachments..."

We'd missed the spreader bar OMG - but that wasn't the worst of it - I explained it away somehow and they said they'd return it. what they didn't mention was that they were coming into town the next week... to see my mother...

So I took possession of the bar from a very knowing and amused mother...

The other time would have been when she wanted to borrow my suitcase. I told her to let herself into my house. which she did, I had however forgotten that the better half had left her leather ankle restraints in the suitcase. So imagine my surprise when I come home to find the suitcase missing and the restraints left on the dining room table...

I, for one, would never bother a woman who was either napping OR rapping.

Red face Just like my mom as well

My mother is the exact same way as teenpuppy's mom... she is so afraid this lifestyle is dangerous and I've had to convince her that I'm not "into" it anymore just so she let's me out of the house. Oh well, the curse of being an only child.
