    blanke schande followup

I am new to this forum and am writing a follow-up story to Katie Lynch's story about Amanda at Blanke Schande College. http://www.bdsmlibrary.com/stories/s...p?storyid=2291

My story centers around chapter 15 where Amanda's sister Kacy visits and is horrified at Dirk's abuse of her sister. I am not into bdsm as such and so have no experience upon which to base my story.

Dirk is a bully and therefore a coward and has no respect for women. He and his buddies need to be taught a lesson. My plan is that Dirk and 3 of his buddies, cowards all, will be so humiliated that they will leave the college. 2 will show some courage show shame and beg forgiveness.

Perhaps this scenario would be worked via a professional dom brought in for the purpose; perhaps she is a former student.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    First thing

The first thing you maybe should think about is sending an email to Katie Lynch and asking her if it's okay by her if you expand on a story she created. It might, it might not, but it's usually best to get permission from the aauthor before doing something like this. Especially if you're planning on sending it to the webmaster for eventual posting on the Library.
As the author myself of many fanfic/net published stories, I can tell you that depending on the tone of the request, i usually don't have a problem with people being 'inspired' by my fanfics, however, i do have a problem with someone writing, posting, and not asking me first whether it was okay. I don't like not being asked. Perhaps she might have the same thoughts, and in any case, it would still be nicer to ask.
    Everything has a price.

I do recall sending her a note suggesting she write a sequel of some way to deal with this situation, but never received a reply. That is what got me started in the first place. If she had replied, there would have been no need for this posting.
Btw, an entire group has sprung up around the idea of BSC, with a number of people writing (not related necessarily to Katie's story, but) perhaps inspired by it.
I may have stumbled on a solution to this challenge without resort to writing about an area of sexuality with which I have no experience - and making a hash of it.
Should I complete this project, it is unlikely I will post here. BDSM is not my thing.

A note asking an author to write a sequel is not the same as a note asking the writer for permission to write your own sequel/spinoff/prequel to the author's story. Remember that. And try sending her another message. Then try sending an email to Jinn, the webmaster of this site, and ask if perhaps he has a way of contacting the author about a particular story. Every attempt should be made to contact the originator of a story before using the character/names from that story without permission.

There was a story called "Owned Teacher" that was started and abandoned by author Thumb. Someone called slavenick made some inquiries, came to the conclusion that Thumb had died (this is the way I remember it, the details are in Story Feedback in the upper part of the Forum), and wrote and posted some additional chapters. When lex ludite brought to Jinn's attention that a new author was usurping this story, Jinn removed the added chapters.

As a writer-wannabe, I would be pissed off if anyone else wrote stories using my characters. I'd be irked, but not seriously pissed, if they set stories in my world using their own characters.

(As an aside, I think slavenick's work was better than the original.)

    WHOA PEOPLE.

This is getting way out of hand here. I'm looking for advice about how to fit BDSM into my story, not advice about doing a take off. If you insist on following the latter, then perhaps we could take this private.

I posted here because this is where I first found the story, AND was hoping for some advice about BDSM, but as I have already said,
I it is unlikely I will post (the story) here.
I am now thinking that since I am getting nowhere, there isn't any point in returning.

Another thing to bear in mind. Katie posted her story in a public forum for which she was paid nothing. I suspect that would make her story public property. Also there are a number of other people who are writing about this situation, and although Katie's story is the best and the most extensive in describing the overall situation, it is by no means the definitive one.
