BDSM and having kids?

I think this is where this question should go, and I searched and didn’t find a thread with this question. So if I am repeating something that has already been discussed I apologize now.

I would like to know how others in a D/s relationship have dealt with kids. As an example, my wife and I have two kids ones 7 years the other is 6 months. We are always trying to keep our direct play out of there site. Not to say that we are ashamed in any way, I just really don’t want to be answering those questions form the oldest right now.

At this point this means that most of our very involved play (IE heavy bondage) is done in our room. I am at the point that this summer we will be building a “play room” in the basement, but that’s a ways off.

So, if you have kids, how do you handle your BDSM around them?

Heh...if you're managing to build a whole play room without the kid finding out, I'm guessing you already know quite a bit about it! Nicely done.

You say you have a 7 yr old & 6 mo old.. Are there grandparents nearby? Cheaper than a Babysitter, and They'll love the time they get to share...


Does the 7 yr old have school friends? Its a trade off, invite one opr two over, to spend the night, and its possible they (the other parents) will reciprocate.. Just make sure he and you are comfortable with the other parents..

In our case, although they havent been seen at any of our friends parties, I believe they are trying out the swinging lifestyle, So when we are asked to keep thier's for the night, we both exchange the smirks... They claim to be going to play cards.. Texas hold em??
