What would you consider "real punishment"

A real punishment is whatever Master decides fits the crime. It could be eating from a plate on the floor with no silverware, a spanking, standing in the corner, or being restricted from doing anything fun with friends for a weekend.

A punishment is more mental than anything. When being punished my Owners could do something to me that i would generally love, but when i know it is a punishment it is a horrid thing because i know i let Them down.

I agree with denusri and gabriel. Just knowing that I've disappointed them is enough to make me feel terrible about disobeying. Whenever I'm with a Dom, I always have a terribly strong desire to please them, so when I know I've displeased them it's worse than any physical punishment they can give me.

However, as far actual punishments go... Orgasm denial. I hate having my orgasms taken away from me. :C So it's fairly effective when I know if I do something I won't get to cum for however long my Dom sees fit.

It could be anything that you yourself really do not like, as opposed to punishments which are part of a game.

Real punishments would be as part of really not giving satisfaction, as several have said, a punishment in itself and often the worst one.

Umm....'real punishments' are a proper caning and then being made to stand nose pressed into the corner. The two people who work to keep me on the straight and narrow and care for me know that a caning is the worst punishment for me and then being stood in the corner makes it even worse as all I've got to do then is think about why I'm in that position and what I did wrong.

I think that is the most terrible bit.....I can't help but think about how I've let them down and what I've done to disappoint them.

the worst punishment to me is something very simple, ignore me, it hurts more to not have the attention i desire than to get it in a more negative way because i have been "bad"

Punishment where something is learned. If one is punishing someone and that person is not learning anything from it, then it really isn't punishment.

I like corporal punishment. I like attention even if it's involved in a humiliating task. For me - punishment would be separation from my dominant or a cut off of communication for a set period of time.
