Strange thing, I came here today, as I do, to peruse the writing, and for some reason Mad Lews, your name had popped into my head.

Perhaps one day I will get to level four and be able to thank you for being here on a more personal level. You caught my attention with some of your comments on writings in level one, would have to look back to see exactly what it was...suffice to say a few people here have definately grabbed my attention, and you sir, are one.

I am hard working, patient and I rarely scream. My goal is not to upset anyone. This doesn't mean it never happens. I also have the affliction of honesty. I thrive on creative exchange.

I am always seeking a mentor to take advant...um, to guide me on this sometimes lonely path of writing...

Aussie girl is energetically encouraging them along the path as well, I've yet to see one get past Ruby though; perhaps someday she'll relent, but till then I assure you I am the very definition of patient contemplation as I plot and plan my course and speed. That doesn't mean I won't consider your generous offer however :-)

This is a question for the ages as well as for myself. If there is only one, well so be it. If however they are two distinct and varied entities I would have to say that Mad is the relatively sane one (in the conventional sense of the word) and Lews is the source of much, well, shall we say, inspiration.

Don't you believe it, Switch Positive! I've heard positively debauched tales about the kind of extra credit going on in Level 4. I've been banging on the door of Level 3 for a week now, trying to get in, but no one seems to be about to let me in. I want to get all over Ruby...um, through Ruby, so I can see if the stories are true about Mad and Lews and the type of instructor he really is.

If they are half as true as I've heard, oh what a wild time that Level 4 is gonna be!

Of course, Lews could just be funnin' me. We shall see.

I was lookin around for some stories by you, Mad Lews, I hate to admit my clumsiness but I am new here. New to forums in general, and relatively bad at finding things...there must be some little gems of yours for me to read buried in these endless yellow words...your comments bespeak a mad predilection for insightful communication, please point me to your fiction, I would love to read...

I will offer a trade for directions, I have all sorts of ideas for stories and books and screenplays and am dying for ya'll to read my stuff. I take harsh but constructive criticism well. I take all wild suggestions and try to make the most of 'em.

Indeed if I were only truly mad, I would devote all my time to writing, I would forsake my job and friends and just write.

Please, Mad Lews?, in a charming tone, (not beggardly, it doesn't become me.) Show me some story?

All, to address the toughness of level 3, since I've been the instructor, no one's made it to level 4.

Why? Perhaps as Rhabbi and anonymouse are experiencing, the assignments are difficult and take the students into new areas of style, tense and adventure. Or perhaps, the willingness to continue diminishes when the going gets rough. Hmmmm. Something to ponder.

Well I once had a passing acquaintances with a mercenary named Mad Mike Hoare. (Can't say I truly "Knew" him, certainly not in the biblical sense mind you). His personal eccentricity's were legendary In a understated British kind of way. They might have been seen by some as a valid argument for sanity in the ranks, though I never really explored the possability. I'm fairly sure that he couldn't be the Mad Mike you refer to. He's even older than I am, if indeed he still lives.
