There's a number of generators available for amusement and to assist with those occasional bouts of blocked creativity. From anime to writing, perhaps there's a generator out there than can help you.

Who out there has used one of these to help with a story, setting, character name, etc?

When I was trying to come up with names for a fantasy seting, I used a site called "Squid.org". If I want to come up with a villainous, evil-sounding name I look at the names Blizzard Entertainment [the company behind the "Wacraft
series of games] for inspiration and match syllables that sound cool. They come up with the best sounding names, IMO.
