    Helping a new Dom along

My fiance and I are slowly getting into the lifestyle, we're currently restricted in our activities by my pregnancy. I've known for awhile that I'm a submissive, whereas I'm the first partner he's had that has asked him to take on a Dom role.

I've done my best to try to teach him what I need as a sub, and he's willing to learn. The trouble is I've never had a Dom mindset, I don't fully understand that end of the relationship. He's not quite yet comfortable enough to agree to a full sit down and discuss with an experienced Dom.

What can I do to help him understand what it is to be a Dom? How to handle a submissive? I need ways to try to guide him so that our play is more satisfying to us both, without taking over the Dominant role.

I would say that he should also join this site and talk to us as well. Also based on your comments he may not be a dom. Some people can become dominant, and still not be a dom. With guidance he may at the very least be able to satisfy your desires, but it doesn't sound like he has it in him. Maybe you should switch and domme ;-)
Pain is in the mind...and so am I. What does that say about me?

Perhaps give him something to read so he can understand you better. Here are a couple of threads that suggest books or websites that may be of use to you.

    What books which you suggest?
