Anyone Pass Out on the Cross Before?

This past weekend at a party I did.

The general consensus is that I hit overload as I had a very intense session before the party. (I still have bumps and bruises )

I'm trying to figure out WHY and how to stop it from happening again. I know to relax, and not lock my legs, but what else can I do to prevent this from happening?

Were you standing or suspended or laying down? Restrained in a fashion in which you were loosing feeling in your extremities? Hydrated? In any kind of breathing restricted posture (suspension from elevated arms)? Bound in a breathing restricted fashion? Has it ever happened before? If so under what circumstances?

I was standing, arms secured above my head. I could feel my hands/fingers just fine. Didn't have any hydration issues, not diabetic, no heart issues or BP issues. I was able to breath just fine.

This was the first time I passed out (in ANY position)

Arms above head naturally restricts our breathing, even though we might not think so.

Additionally head space can cause us to pass out. So knowing where you were mentally, and how you were handling the scene is important. If you had an intense scene beforehand, and was having one that reached your ability to handle the one you were in, irregardless of your desire to do so, you will pass out.

Unless it put you in physical or mental danger, why avoid it? Seems like the utlimate loss of control.

And are you sure you passed out? And not in that fugue of sub-space?

@_ID_ What was going on at that point in time wasn't that bad, and through clothing as well. So I don't think it was the physical sensation that caused it (I am by no means saying it was not, I'm not discounting anything), mentally I was happy as a lark lol

@Oz I definitely passed out. According to those who were in the room with me, I went limp and was hanging by my arms for a few moments until they could untie me. I don't want it to happen again because I was only up there for about 10 minutes

I still wonder, I've been with (at least) one sub who was totally out, unresponsive, and limp, from an intense session and that was just my hand. So I wouldn't discount it.

That aside, I've also passed out, in a dissimiliar situation that involved intense emotions and a slight loss of oxygen, (suppressing laughter in the midst of a practical joke I almost fell for while watching others go "all in".) I didn't particularly care for it, waking up slumped on the floor, having literally "fallen off my chair laughing my ass off' , aka FOMCLMAO.

One thing I noted, over the next few years, I could feel myself going out (and managed to stop it) much more easily thereafter.

Perhaps you had a great orgasm (unremembered) and went off eaisly to subspace (you did say you had had an intense session earlier.) I'd explore that more, because anything that sends you their easily is something to be understood.

I've noted the same thing in my girl, who after/during intense sessions, was clearly on an endorphine high and I was able to induce it more and more quickly thereafter. A learned bodily reflex imo.

As Oz mentioned, it doesn't take much to push a person into endorphin overload and hit subspace, subsequently loosing any muscular control or ability to be coherent enough to respond to stimuli. Remember, it can take a few hours to a few days to come down from an endorphin high. So having another scene shortly after you've already had one could push you past your ability to manage the experience, and your brain would just turn you off and reset when the chemicals are back to normal.

I'm starting to become convinced that that was the case.. too many natural chemicals for me to handle at once. I do know it took 4 days for me to drop and when I did it was nasty.

As wonderful as the idea of having an orgasm at that point and time is, I can say with absolute certainty that did not happen. (I'm over here giggling @ FOMCLMAO)

Thanks for all of the input!
