First I did Aussiegirl’s technique and then I followed it up with an old one I used to use before there were computers. I took two pieces of paper, went line by line and word by word from the bottom up.

I found ten misspelled words and one double word error.

Without printing it out and doing the techniques above, I'd have never found them. I read that thing at least 10 times before turning it in, looking for grammar and spelling errors.

Thanks for doing that. It is amazing how easy it is to miss mistakes, but the main thing is that you have taken the time to check for them.

You can now move onto the next task, which is to again write a short story, but this time you can use any means available to you to check your work.

Good Luck and thanks again for checking your last story for me. I had forgotten about using pieces of paper to check each word, but it is a great method to use.
