I agree phishing can be a real problem. The problem stems from lack of attention to what they are looking at, or lack of understanding the appearance of code. In either case it's as simple as fooling someone into thinking they need to provide the given information. The latest browsers both IE and FireFox provide anti-phishing filters to combat this problem. It's not limited to myspace either. Peoples banking/email/insurance/credit cards.... all have been affected by this.

With a little education and attention to what your looking at, the entire phishing thing can be avoided.
