The idea that there were wild beasts out there would be part of the fun. Scary for the sub for sure.

We did a BDSM campout when we were in a group out west. Was a 4th of july thing. Lots of nudity, lots of screams. Was a grand time. They even did mud wrestling between two of the subs.
