I understand your feelings on this, I'm training to be a schoolteacher and the number of people (student teachers and pupils) who have a similar fear, not just about public speaking but about confidence in expressing themselves in other ways (such as writing) is incredible - 7 or 8 out of every 10 at least, in one form or another.
