as a school bus driver I was forced to attend a lecture and video tape on the dangers of blood born pathogens and there dangers.
    It was an osha thing.
Any way the main fact that it is dangerous and should be avoided. The HIV and hepatitis C and B are transmitted via blood. And while you would think that your Partner should be HIV free. It is very possible to have hepatitis C and not even know it. That is why Tatoo's are very dangerous, there was a survey that said that more than 50 percent of people that have tattoos have hepatitis c(don't know about 50 % but allot of them do anyway)
I of course am not a doctor but we do have one on the group I think his post in the past sure sound like it. How say yea EE norcord.

My vote is lets keep the blood in the body during play.

I share your disinterest in playing with blood. To acquire infection from it, it must come into contact with a mucous membrane - lips, genitals ....etc...

I think your stats on the tatts are way off course man, Hepatitis is a historical risk in a proper modern tattoo shop.

All it takes is a small cut on a finger say an ingrown cutical on a fingernail that you picked and it exposed some inner scin.
"Oh Mr bussdriver Billy the "HIV boy" his nose is bleeding come and fix it" Zap you now have HIV.
Blood is nothing to play with

I have no fact's other than what I heard on a radio talk show so I will not fight you on the tatoo v hipotitus scare.

But as far as blood/solids/gases and other body componants are conserned I like it best when they are in the body. I keep paper towels bandages and latex gloves. God for bid one of the kids has an alergy to latex. That would not be good.

LMAO .. sorry Mobius but that's hilarious. You sensibly try to think of everything to protect you and your damn kids and then, as you so rightly point out, you could be totally stuffed purely BECAUSE of the precautions you have taken. Good luck mate.

    Yeah, LOL!

i remember when i started teacher training, one of the schools i went in, we wern't suppose to use plasters if the kids fell over, in case they were allergic..and believe me, with 3-11 year olds...there were a LOT of cut knees.
