Thanks, bits and pieces of the cut scene made it into the larger work. And yes, the Male character was more fully fleshed out. Let me explain a bit about how i work. i cannot edit my own stuff in bits and pieces; i have to get the whole thing down on paper then go back, reread, rewrite, revise (You know the drill). That helps sometimes because things like scenes that get cut don't necessarily get all the editing effort put into them.

U B sayin' the sweetest things! I understand what you mean about editing parts. Still I sometimes do that as a spur to get past writers block.
