Thank you for pointing this out, Ruby. It was one of the things that made me scratch my head when I read that chapter in 'Monica's Place'. An author has the poetic license to let characters do all the unsafe and dangerous stuff they want, but in that particular story they are usually so careful, monitoring everything that is going on in the house on CCTV and so forth...
