There really is no good grammar check program that I know of. They all miss quite a lot, including word. I just like word because it likes to throw commas in so much that it makes me think about why I do not want one there.

As for cliches, the only one that really stood out to me was describing Nick as a nice guy. I usually leave the cliche detection to muse, just feel that there were a few there.

The other problems I saw are actually addressed at a later stage here in the block, and I will let time get you to those. Digging in and learning the basics, which is what Level 1 is about, is going to be enough for you now.

I am more than willing to look at another draft of this story, and would actually enjoy it. I would suggest you wiat until muse makes her nits known to you, she can spot a grammatical error at a thoousand paces and her trusty blue pencil will see a few that I missed.
