Condescending and insulting wasn't the tone I was going for at all. Nor was I trying to insult you. Please forgive me if that's the way it came across.

And, come to think of it, what have you written and contributed to the site?
What if I wrote nothing except in these forums? Would it matter to you? Should it?

...how about you add some of that 'Obscenity Free' stuff you write to this site?
You can find many of my stories in these threads on this forum:

IMO: Whether or not you or I receive any money for any of our writing is a red herring to what's happening to our freedom in the US to write and publically post stories that may or may not pass the Miller test. Whether or not you and I even post stories on this site doesn't make our opinions any more valuable than anyone else's. Yet let's make no mistake, opinions do count. They sway and make political decisions that affect our daily lives.

Suggestions?

* Funding this website.

* Writing and posting stories that pass the Miller test.

* Supporting legal organizations that back your rights.

There are a number of groups out there fighting for our personal freedoms, and the least that we can do is pick one of them and support its efforts.

Here's a very short list. Perhaps others on the forum can add to it. Each person should do their own research and make sure that the group you are supporting is actually promoting and fighting to protect what you want protected.

National Coalition for Sexual Freedom

American Civil Liberties Union

International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC)

National Organization for Women

Planned Parenthood

More suggestions?

* Vote

* Run for office

* Support a candidate that will fight for your rights

* Educate yourself and others

* Promote your opinions backed up with facts

* Set an example for others to follow

If we as a community fail to plan, then surely we are planning to fail.
