the Forum defination of Spam is the advertising of pay sites---your personal site if it is a pay site---- There is a place on the front page to do link exchanges for pay sites---this does not include a home page in your profile or in your signature---but to post a post "hey look at my new site" that is spam---the exchange of free story links is ok---anything else you may send to your friends via email or PM---but make sure your friend want the link or it could be considered spam--if you just randomly send links via PM.
