The story codes selected by the authors, are not meant to deceive, but rather, interpret how they relate to the story.Originally Posted by mkemse

Consider this...what if they want to have the scenes with those story codes appear later in the story, perhaps in a chapter not yet posted? I mean, this is not a paying job and you can always write an email to the author. But one of the benefits of anonymity, as a reviewer, is not being held accountable for what you post.
Some reviewers expect an extreme version of nc/humiliation, etc. where others judge the story on it's merits alone. You are not alone in using keywords to find the codes you want and are greatly disappointed when the stories don't meet the criteria.
I agree with you that some stories that have recently been posted have little to no synopsis, hence, will get skipped over by this reader, me.
Why did I choose this post of yours to respond to? Hmmm...how do I say this delicately? I'm an author who has been burned just a few times by your reviews for various reasons,*kiss, it's all good. Out of curiosity, I looked at the stories you've reviewed and you are consistent in your tastes.
Think about this, are some of the stories receiving those numerical ratings because they don't meet YOUR expectations of the codes, it is not extreme or brutal enough, or because the length is too short? Does the story and quality of the piece count in the plus side of the column? If these things are not on your list of criteria, I think your ratings are suspect at best.![]()
