I've only tried one of these once, the last time I did a photoshoot. I hated it and I usually love gags. Main reason was because it was so intractable. Its metal, it has no give in it, so you have to get the right size to fit in your mouth otherwise it is really uncomfortable. And if they are not covered in leather they are more of a pain.

Thats not to say I wouldn't agree to have one in again... Was surprised at how easy it was for Mistress to get the strap on into my mouth when it was in - there was no way I cold resist.

I think a ball gag is a better first gag for a beginner. A small ball made of a very soft material (so soft rubber or leather ball not hard rubber) or one of the gags with holes in (or a ball gag where the ball has holes in it) to assist breathing. There are many options for gags so shop around if you find the ring gag too much once it arrives. Just don't leap straight into a butterfly gag on your first try.... Trust me on this... it can be an overwhelming experience even for an experienced gag wearer like me...

Safety points... never leave a sub bound and gagged alone for any lenght of time and make sure you keep an eye on vital signs all through the session (any trouble breathing? Changes in skin colour? Pulse rate?) as the sub will be unable to tell you themselves.
