    Cartier Love Collection Jewelry

Has anyone ever seen this line of jewelry? Apparently it was popular in the 1970's, and has be re-released. The original gold bracelet was hinged, and locked onto the loved one's wrist, while the lover kept the pendant/key around his neck; it was meant to symbolize ever-lasting love. I was looking at an ad in a mag the other day, and thought "wow, this seems to really have a master/slave overtone;" like a collar that's acceptable to wear in public. This seems like it would be a beautiful and meaningful gift to a sub, but I wonder if I'm the only one that looks at these things at instantly thinks "well, I wonder who is that person's master?"

Incedentally, Tom Cruise just bought Katie Holmes one as a mother's day gift. Hmmm......

p.s. the pic in the link isn't the best representation of what the bracelet actually looks like- they have a few really good ones on eBay if you're interested...

Wow I like that bracelet. I would think the same too, had I seen it on someone.

Never seen them myself, but my jeweller friend has seen them in magazines. She loves the thought of them, & says they'd cost a heap of money.

Not sure what I'd think if I saw someone wearing one- the handcuff earrings would do it for me more.

I've long had a fantasy of some form of jewellery locked onto a willing 'owned' girl.

What would life be without dreams?

This is the type of ownership jewerly I dream about. Something which symbolizes your owner yet can be worn without drawing un-needed attention.

I'd love to see something similar as an ankle bracelet. Nice biggish padlock...

They are in the $2,000-$3,000 range. Ouch! But I do think it would make a lovely gift- even the pendant/key is very pretty. BUT, the key is essentially just a screwdriver, so this piece of jewelry is definitely symbolic. Does it count as a quasi-collar if you can take it off whenever you want? It "locks," but not permanantly.

Of course. The collar is symbolic, regardless of how it's fastened. (IMO...BIUR)

Have you ever used one of those eyeglass screwdrivers? It isn't as easy as it looks...

I was kidding around with my comment about taking it off whenever, Oz...
Anyway, chattel, the screw is pretty big- regular screwdriver size. Personally, I like the white gold models- I think they even come as a ring. Wouldn't that be neat for a couple to have as a wedding band?

I like it in the white gold too. It's very unique which is something I love in BDSM jewelry.
