Midlands is a bit south from Yorkshire -but not much I was thinking somewhere between Birmingham and Manchester ish area may be good. If anyone else has any suggestions for pinning down a location please let me know. I am looking at travellodges etc at the moment[

the midlands is about an hour - 90 mins drive from yorkshire.. depending where in yorkshire you are and depending which part of the midlands it is

am looking at that area because of those travelling from scotland and also those from the very south of the UK seems to be fairly central - and will be a good 2-3 hour drive for me too. How does the weekend of the 10th October sound ot everyone - or the following weekend?? feedback please

the next weekend after the 10th would work better for me, my brother wants me to be in London then. I can wiggle out of it, of course, but if nobody else has a problem with it, i would prefer the weekend on the 17th.

OK so the UK meet will be on 17th October - Birdy has kindly sent me some links to hotels in Warrington area which I am checking out also looking into travel lodges. If anyone has somewhere they can recommend - please let me know asap. Once the venue has finally been decided I'll let everyone who has responded to me know by PM. If anyone else reading this thread is interested can they let me know and I will pm them too.

Suddenly realised the 17 October is a Friday (ok have been distracted lately *grins*) which may be difficult for those who have to work on Friday so I suggest making it on the Saturday 18th October although I will try to get there for the Friday too

Could i maybe recommend the holiday inn (stoke south) at j15 of the m6? as hat is technically the highest point of the midlands without been the 'northwest' region
