    tasking *scratches head*

im probably in the wrong forum here sorry but im a bit confused about the whole tasking process, ok i now im not always very quick on the uptake lol
i kind of get what its about ...least i think so...
but im at a loss as to who's 'entitled' to do it? do they have to be in r/ships? do they need to be 'experienced' or 'inexperienced'? is it an educational or fun thing? can 'experienced' people help? , yup a million questions i know!!
i didnt post in the tasking forums as it seemed mainly to be guidelines or people requesting to join threads please help me cos i really am in the dark here

It's been a while, but I think it's mostly to help people learn more about BDSM and certain aspects they might wish to explore. Doesn't matter how experienced or new you are, it's for anyone that wants to explore BDSM, learn, and grow.

I believe that tasking is normally done within a relationship... and occassionally between potential pairs to see if there is compatibility.

But in a place like a forum, it is also offered for those who would like to create and give or undertake real tasks as part of learning and/or playing and/or fantasizing, without the need to be involved in a relationship.

Tasks are things a dominant assigns a submissive to do.

Some are called commands and preformed imediately and others have different time constraints and or are to preformed at a later time while not in the dominant's presence.

The tasker and Taskee society is a way for people on the site to learn how to eiather assign safe and creative tasks for thier submissives; or for submissives to get a better understanding of how follow instruction and come to a better understanding of thier submission,

its not a substitute or proxy for a dominant so much as a service provided by the site for educational purposes for both doms and subs.

i guessed it was something to do with that though i just couldnt work out exactly who, how and why really
its a clever idea, ive noticed there's hundreds of threads started by people both Dom/me and sub asking for task ideas.
if i was a Domme id offer to help...ive had more than my fair share of tasks over the years lol

gosh - so confused.. i thought it was about learning so asked to join, then thought it was tantamount to asking for a relationship so begged leave to withdraw...

icey why if you were a Domme..??

If you have done tasks and you can think of them and know what they are about .. who says you can't suggest..??

If you ask me becaue a sub has gone through the task they may know better what a good task for a situation should be... Just because you are a sub hun doesn't mean you can't make suggestions.. to your Dom/me or to others to help.. after all helping is one of the things subs love to do ..at least this one does... winks

    just my opinion

i thought only Dom/mes were allowed to give tasks, i have that wanting to help thing too snowflake lol im just not very good at telling or giving people things to do!
i agree with you there are times when a sub probably has a better idea of specific tasks for specific situations... but shhh dont tell the Dom/mes i said that!

I haven't looked in to take a look (at least not since the academy days,) but I thought the roles they use is Tasker and Taskee... and no indication that Dom/mes, Tops, or Sadists cannot accept tasks... nor that submissives, bottoms, or masochists cannot give them.

If you think you have some good ideas... offer them up as tasks.

I suspect, in some cases, subs (et.al.) might have some insights as to what kinds of tasks they crave.

Icey, almost all of the best teachers I have had in the art of domination have been submissive females.

The Tasker and Taskee tracks are for anyone that wishes to participate.

It is an excellent way to learn about bdsm or re-fresh one's own self on it's basic tenants.

~giggles~ umm icey i do believe you just told them..

But truthfully.. if a Dom/me is asking for suggestions or is looking for them .. then giving them a few is actually helping them out..

We are all human and sometimes need fresh ideas.. if you can't ask all then what is the point of asking..??

Especially our own Dom/mes.. i know my Master and my Sir both love it when i accidentally slip with an idea {you did notice the accidentally there didn't you ..winks} whether it is a disliked one or a liked one.. it makes it so they don't have to work hard to come up with fresh ideas.. The last thing you want is things to grow stale and you know Dom/mes like it when they can fufill what you may so desire.. this allows them to hear what you may want but are afraid to say...

i totally agree with Kuskovian and Ozme52.. subs do give some of the best insights on different tasks ..why ?? because they have probably expeirenced them first hand.. and Ozme we do crave things and can't expect our Dom/mes to be mind readers all the time.. especially if the sub has more expeirence then the Dom/me how else is a Dom/me to learn more about their sub?
