OK, I have a thought: If you ask for advice, try not to bite when you get it. You are accusing another of stereotyping, yet you say "...the fact that a lot of guys are seriously effing rude and judgmental" in a pretty rude way. I am not trying to attack you. I am just trying to point out that you asked for help and someone tried to give you some. You replied to her in a way that discourages anyone else from attempting to help you. Please think about this.

Men are as varied in personality as women are. (I happen to like men quite a lot) You cannot group men all in a lot, and say that one particular thing applies to all of them. Just as you cannot say a particular thing applies to all of any group of people. People are all different. You have value that is yours alone. I do hope you will find all that you are searching for. And I hope you will not bite me for my honest reply to you, as I am rather sensitive to bites.
