Not at all. It’d be better to ask him though since I suck at describing things. He doesn’t want to though
Mkay... various ‘tools’ are used depending on how deep the cuts will be or how much blood he wants (or whichever one looks the most fun that day lol), such as (all sterilized) exacto blade, single edged razor blade, scalpel, some reaaally cool ‘fantasy’ blades, variously sized knives & daggers, and syringe & lancet (though those are just for blood).
Preparation... obviously get everything out, wash hands, and this may sound weird but he sometimes brushes his teeth first because he’s going to be licking cuts/drinking the blood. Oh and we used to use alcohol wipes or whatever but not anymore, just wash w/water & soap. Particularly deep cuts will need band aids so we have those out too. Also before and after the cutting I have to close my eyes and take some deep breaths.
Cuts are at least an inch long and after the first one he’ll pause and then make a second incision to make an “X” which draws more blood & is also his first initial interestingly enough. Amount of incisions after one session can be anywhere from 5 to 20. Depth can range from shallow where blood takes a few seconds to appear to much deeper which leaves scarring. Since this is a ‘knife play’ topic I will spare you all the rest about the blood drinking
Afterwards... two words – orange juice. Oh and I must mention that also part of preparation is drinking water and eating a good meal, since we are dealing with blood loss here.
Hope that is detailed enough for you. Like I said, I'm not really good at explaining things and I don't know how to describe "technique". Oh well.
