Okay I understand your thing for safe practices in all and that everything should be consensual between both sides which I totally agree with. But eventually down the line in BDSM somewhere your going to come across some "not so safe", or "not so sane" individuals who's methods or practices though bizarres, but if consensual they why keep them in the closet?
