What on earth is going on with the site? No updates in almost two months again! Just as things looked like they were starting up again it has all ground to a halt. I used to be a regular visitor, now I stop by every couple of weeks not expecting any new content but crossing my fingers and hoping.

Are there website issues? Is new content not being submitted? Is no one running the site any more?

It's pretty disappointing. I know several authors who've been waiting for over half a year for their stories to be put on the site, with zero communication from the admins.

I get that real life comes first and that the site's been having tech issues, but it'd be nice if they let us know what's going on every once in a while.

When I first joined this site, it was because of the stories. I still read them every once in a while, but I still can't review them. And I don't even bother sending them any stories. What's the use?

Three weeks later and still nothing. Last story update was 21st April.

Actually, new stories are being added but the front page isn't being updated. If you click on Newest Stories just beneath the search box on the left from the main stories page you can see the newest additions (September 12 as of this posting)

Yes, you're right, but before all this trouble the site was updated at least once a week. Now it can take months... That's the sad truth...

This is so sad. This place use to be the best site on the web for stories, and now it's terrible. I come back each week, just hoping things have gotten fixed, but nothing. And no responses from Admins at all.

Has anyone heard anything from Torq or any other Admin? It sure would be nice to get some sort of update as to what's going on. Is the site simply on autopilot now? Is there any work being done on getting stories and updates uploaded? Does anyone know what the heck is going on?

3 days later an no response from an admin. I think autopilot has officially crashed in a fiery blaze. Sad to see the downfall of what use to be one of the best libraries on the web.

Yet there appears to be at least one Admin around, because people are being approved for tasking society access. Sure wish someone would let us know WTF is going on here. Even if it's bad news, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to know.

Isn't Torq the only one who can update the story site? I doubt the other admins know anything.

This is just the inevitable result of having a single person in charge of basically everything. It was never a matter of if the site would die, but when.

Where have people moved to? I have some stories that I would like to publish, but I have no idea where to do so now. My stories are a bit too extreme for Literotica :-(

I've visited and uploaded to storiesonline.net, but you need a paid subscription to access all the services. You can still read, though. I've found that the users there aren't as receptive to stories I've posted there as the folks here are to the same stories, though.

I know one or two who've gone to Wattpad. deviantART is an option and has a huge userbase, but it's not really good for more extreme stuff. For that extreme stuff, there are a bunch of fantasy forums like ravishu.com that have Story sections for them.

Unfortunately, there's nothing as good as this place.

Thanks, Torq. I happened to check this morning, and saw that there were updates. Occasional status reports like this - telling us what's going on, how to submit stories and updates when the submission feature is down, etc. - is really helpful, and will help reduce consternation on the part of your patrons. Thank you again for your hard work and the status update.

On the page, select newest stories and you'll see about 8-10 that were update in the last week.

There was an update a couple weeks ago, although for some reason it's not on the front page. You have to go to Library -> Newest Stories to see it.

Hopefully these updates become a trend, and not just a one-time thing.

Hi! Like everyone else, I really love this site and appreciate everything... but since this thread was started, nothing has really changed. Just a couple of smallish updates to the stories.

Could we get an update, and ideally some idea of what the long-term plan is for the story site? It has basically been dead for a long time now. Is there a plan to bring it back properly so authors will start publishing like they used to?

4 months since last new stories. Any idea when the next update is likely or should it be considered as active as a Norwegian Blue parrot ?

It's like they want the site to come to a complete death. If you're not going to update your website or get something that's been messed up for well over a year fix, why even have this site? Why not shut the site down, or at least be honest and come out and say "Hey, thank you for all those that have submitted stories over the years. We will no longer accept new stories, but you can still search for old stories."

Stop giving false hope and these fake updates. It's so damn disappointing.
