View Full Version : Let's see if I chicken out again

Hi everyone! I'm a hetero female, late 30s, and am probably a sub (although I have never put this to the test). I have never discussed this in "real life" with any partners or friends.

I joined these forums once before (a long time ago) and chickened out of participating, so terrified that someone would "find me out". I was also concerned that people would be judgmental. It's like the old George Carlin bit about people driving slower than you being idiots, and driving faster than you being morons. Maybe some things I suspect to be my preferences are too kinky or not kinky enough? I'm concerned about this, and it's why I've never discussed my preferences to any of my partners.

But I'm back here again, hoping to learn. Maybe I'll even try my hand at writing a story or two?

I'm glad you made it back! Who's to say your preferences are too kinky or not kinky enough? I've had a couple of partners look at me in abject horror, and believe you me, I don't consider myself THAT kinky! Know what I said to them? Oh, grow up! *ggls* They were rather on the young side....*blushes* Anyway, this is a safe place to learn, and stories are always welcome. Have fun!

One of the things many should learn is other's opinions mean very little next to your own. The don't always know more than you do.
Smiles and welcome back.

Yup, had the same fears of someone finding me out (So far I remain anonomous).

As for the kinky, not kinky part, people here are really accepting, and open minding. This forum has been a great place for exploration for me, and I hope it is for you.

Soomey,

I am new to the forums myself and still am very shy about some of the same things you are. But everyone has been very nice to me and these seems like a nice place to be.

Take heart and feel welcome.

Welcome Soomey,

You have done the hardest bit - joining the forum and letting us know something about you. Now you just have to sit back, read, learn and join in as much you want to. This is a great place to explore.

I am very glad you didn't chicken out this time. I'm also very glad you came here to learn, as this community facilitates that process excellently.

Oh, and if you want to know if your imaginings are "too kinky" or "not kinky enough", please, feel free to share the details with me. I'll be happy to offer you my honest opinion.

~looks over at Red~ What?!? I'm trying to be helpful! Calling me a detail whore is overstating a bit, don't you think?

Ok, so it's not. :o

*shakes my head at tessa*

How could we possible be judgmental with someone like lovable tessa around? We are all here to learn and explore together... just because it may not by my kink it may be yours... and who knows, after hearing about it... it may become mine!

Glad your here!

Soomey,

Welcome and ask away, if someone steps out of line with a newcomer the rest of us will come down hard on that person. Admiting to having these desires and feeling is the first step in discovery and few seem to walk away if they find a good partner and safe practices to follow.

If your interested I have a thread in bdsm knowledge under that is a questionaire that will help you find out what you crave and are hard limits.
I highly recommend it as a first step in assess who you are. Just follow the directions there, if you want I will review it and give you my opinion of what you are after.

Enjoy the experience and open yourself up here in safety and comfort.
