Let's see if I chicken out again

Hi everyone! I'm a hetero female, late 30s, and am probably a sub (although I have never put this to the test). I have never discussed this in "real life" with any partners or friends.

I joined these forums once before (a long time ago) and chickened out of participating, so terrified that someone would "find me out". I was also concerned that people would be judgmental. It's like the old George Carlin bit about people driving slower than you being idiots, and driving faster than you being morons. Maybe some things I suspect to be my preferences are too kinky or not kinky enough? I'm concerned about this, and it's why I've never discussed my preferences to any of my partners.

But I'm back here again, hoping to learn. Maybe I'll even try my hand at writing a story or two?

I've had a couple of partners look at me in abject horror, and believe you me, I don't consider myself THAT kinky! Know what I said to them? Welcome and ask away, if someone steps out of line with a newcomer the rest of us will come down hard on that person. Admiting to having these desires and feeling is the first step in discovery and few seem to walk away if they find a good partner and safe practices to follow.
