I was wondering if anyone has some experience with ring gags that they might want to share? The reason I ask is, I purchased one (1.5 in. inside diameter and leather-wrapped) for me and my GF (we're both pretty much switch) today and can't seem to wait for it to arrive. Seems like a nice naughty accessory.

I have one (in black leather) and have used it quite a bit, though not for sucking cock in action yet, but I've asked others and tried out a bit how it would work over a cock (check my profile if you wonder...) I have used them and the trick is a small strap to the ring it can be larger once it is outside of the mouth. The small strap will allow you to have sub put her tongue through the ring and place the ring further back in her mouth allowing the lips to be enjoyed her tongue too.

i would have to agree with a lot of what was said. i love the control and humiliation factor of being in one but they are definitely not for the inexperienced. One with a rubber or leather cover is a lot easier on the teeth especially for anything beyond a short session. Although your lips cover over the ring if it's in tight it doesn't help much when you're giving a blow job, your tongue and throat have to do all the work. I don't generally use something I like for fun as punishment. Can be confusing for the submissive when you incorporate deep mental exchange of power.

In other words, it leaves the sub confused as to why your doing it from time to time if you don't explain the purpose each time, and I use little talk during play. I feel it enhances some of the non-verbal nuances.

Never thought of these as pleasurable to dom, despite their prevelance in pornography. I never thought of the dam thing scraping your cock was worth the effort to force deep-throat your slave. I've only tried one of these once, the last time I did a photoshoot. I hated it and I usually love gags. Main reason was because it was so intractable. Its metal, it has no give in it, so you have to get the right size to fit in your mouth otherwise it is really uncomfortable. And if they are not covered in leather they are more of a pain.

I think a ball gag is a better first gag for a beginner.
