Walking on Water.

There was a recent earthquake that was followed by a hurricane on the east coast of the US recently. I stayed away from many of the news reports simply because I work evenings and don't have time to keep up on it all. I assumed that the standard reaction by most of our religious right was that it was God punishing them for their tolerance for gay marriage and other "deviant" lifestyles. That is the standard reaction for them, after all. As I recall, Sodom and Gomorrah were hit by fire because the inhabitants were sinful and God wiped out the globe with a flood and only saved Noah and his kin.

That brings to mind a question for me. Weren't there any innocents in those areas? Surely there were some babies who had only a few days of life in which to sin. Surely not everyone on the planet or in Sodom and Gomorrah or in Haiti or the East coast of the US was innocent. Why were they wiped out too?

Of course, that brings to mind another question. If God is all powerful why is his aim so fucking bad?
