Happily married & monogamous. Looking for a few old friends after a long hiatus. I think that this site can be succor for many who are lost – like I very much was – searching to understand balancing who and what one thinks one is, wants to be, & is able to be (all very different things, normally). I also believe that it can easily become a fantastical trap fraught with 2 dangers: judgmental quasi-kinksters who are more-hardcore-than-thou because they clickity-clack away at the keyboard to “hurt-so-good,” yet have little-to-no REAL-life experience to back up their inflated egos, propagating half-truths & misinformation about practical BDSM in their zeal to prove just how diehard they are without having to commit to the lifestyle; dodgy predators who use the computer to safely (for them) prey on people when they are vulnerably reaching out for support in entering a new, wonderfully challenging chapter in their lives, using their apparent “expertise” to do online what they aren’t foolhardy enough to do offline because no sane freak would put up with abuse (yes – abuse can be doled out online as well as offline!), so they hunt here for those who don’t know better yet . The long & short of it is that there are some truly amazing people here with lots of great information & sincere support (why else would I come back?), but nothing is perfect & there are bad seeds, too!
