i know i'm not alone.

Am i wrong for thinking that my Love is not number one in my life? i mean He understands why i don’t put Him first in all things. He says He is okay with it and agrees He shouldn’t be first. But i feel wrong. i feel i go above and beyond to say my daughter is number one in my life. Am i wrong to put her before Him? She was in my life long before i ever knew who Him. W/we both agree firmly family comes first. Yet it hurt me when i tell Him to back off because it’s her time with me. i work retail and i never get the weekends off, so I’m hardly home to see her and spend time with her. So i try to set up certain days just for her. It’s hard to manage my time between the two of T/them and still have time for me to “re-center” myself. i have so much on my plate and it eats at me when i tell Him isn’t first in my life, but i can’t lie to Him and tell Him He is number one. It’s so hard and i’m glad He is so under standing.

kids come first...period. kids are number one. spending that needed time with her is a must. you both need that time together.

After all her needs are met them you can focus on his. I agree that there is not enough time in the day to do all the things you want most of the time. but if you really look, i am sure you can find the time for him too.

it can be hard to transition from tittle to title, it takes time...but it does get better. Good luck..hope this helped some.

If he wasn't so understanding about such a common sence issue dear I would seriously question his wisdom.

Things like work (unless one is so blessed as to be independently wealthy) and children simpley have got to come before having fun with whips and chains etc.

Yup. Finding someone you can live your desires out with is great, but once you sign up for being a mom, that job comes first and foremost. Your kids are only yours to raise for a very brief time, and there's no question they need to be first priority!

Why create any order of precedence at all?

All can be equal in your eyes, all important. Then you get to choose based on circumstances and events.

If you create a precedence, you loose the ability to weigh, consider and choose. Is picking up your daughter from a sleep-over because she's bored more important than spending a night alone with him?

Will you always cook her favorite food and never his?

Would you create a situation like this if it were just you and your child in the equation?

My point is, why worry about "who comes first" in your life and instead live your life and lives together as circumstances dictate and require. Then perhaps, such questions either need not be asked... or are easily answered by you.
