Just wondering about the new blog section....is it fully up and running? I have posted mine and I know I'm not alone but nothing is showing up either in the blog section or on my profile counter. When I click "my blog" I can see mine, but nothing else. I know it's new and maybe I've done something wrong but either way I thought you should know.

I like my forums to be white with black text. The old boring office friendly style. Can somebody explain how I can set it to that. This black with red stuff isn't my cup of tea. I want the style to be boring so I can focus on the exciting texts.

there was a "button" at the bottom of the old format....it let you go between black and blue.....dont know its not there anymore..??
I see that they've changed the format for the forums. For what it's worth, here's my two cents.
I've never been a fan of white print on a dark background. I was very happy and content with the old format.
Why the change? Is there some major software upgrade that had to be performed which forced this change? Or is it just change for the sake of change?
Far too many people seem to think that different is better. Not so! Different is merely different. More often than not, changing something just to be different is counterproductive.
Therefore I would like to put in my request for either:
1) A reversion back to the old format, black lettering on a light background; or
2) A control panel option which will allow each user to set his/her own format preference.
I don't know the difficulties and potential problems which could be associated with either of these choices, but it can't be any worse than the change that's already been made.
Two thumbs down on this one, guys. Sorry.
I thought this would be simple, someone has changed the style sheet and normally the previous option is kept in
View > Page style
But sadly this is not the case.
A plea from a simple web geek to the admin bods to enable the previous CSS to be available if we wish to use it.

Gang, it's changed. It's changed for MANY reasons, but changed nonetheless. It isn't changing back.
Many love it, some like it, some don't, some couldn't care less. Such is the way of the world. On a site of thousands, that's the way it is. Ever try to get your family to agree on dinner? Or a movie? Now imagine doing that on a site for thousands... you catch the drift...
Can't have both color options open for various reasons. So suggest all you want about ways to do it, we can't on this site. It just isn't going to happen. Now, I am sure T would be more then happy to give you a nice long post about why it won't work (or maybe not so happy to do that since it takes time away from real work LMAO), but the truth is... it isn't going to work.
So, time to pull your big kid pants on, button down the hatches, and work on making all the new areas great & the older areas even better... instead of posting about the colors, why not make a post welcoming a newbie? Or a blog entry about your day or your last play session? Lots to choose from :) :)

I like it, for the record. Plus the change has brought a lot of other addons which I don't recall being available before (or if they were, they were not so obvious).
My only complaint is that I used to have an insticntive feel for where all the buttons were and now its all changed I have to learn it all again... :)

IŽd like to remind some people on here that this forum is FREE and its admins should not be treated like paid personnel who owe you a favour or must do everything according to your liking.

How child like to complain about a free sites color scheme.
When I first joined the site last year, it used to be black background with yellow lettering. While I did find the powder blue a little easier to read than the black, this is fine. The main thing is that I'm a member of the site, and that the site works.

Still think custom colors would be nice. I also would like the option of setting all the text in the forms a certain color of my choosing that is easy for me to read.
There's a big difference between complaining and making suggestions. As you say, it's a free site and they can do whatever they want. I've said the same thing in the past about other changes.Quote:

I have the utmost respect and yes it is a free site, but many of us do support the sponsors, and somehow voicing an opinion or dislike for something, or questioning if something that was there and is gone will return is "whining" I think the varied membership makes this site the success that it is. I don't think very many if any need to reminded of the sites status as free, and I believe that for the most part opinions stated are meant as that to offer up an opinion...I hope that as this wonderful site continues to grow and thrive no one feels stifiled to believe that to offer a suggest or voice dislike, I strongly believe it is a strong aspect of the success here...the willingness of the Administrators to have an open ear...

I really like the contrast between the broad red bands and the black/charcoal background (soft black, not hard dead black). It feels easy to read and somehow in style, so off the cuff I have no trouble with this change.
