    A desire to learn

    Hello everyone!

After lurking on this wonderful website for about 2 weeks, in which I feel wrong for doing and am sorry, I think I am ready to come out of my shell and introduce myself. All of your wonderful friendliness towards each other, has led me to believe that this is a good place to start. So, let me begin . . .

I'm a 22 year old female, around 125lbs and 5'7'' tall. I am very new to the bdsm community, yet, I've been trying to soak up as much information as possible over the past year through out various websites, books, and online chats. I believe I have a hidden submissive side to me, in which I've finally decided to take the step to discover. While I'm looking for nothing in R/L right now, because I understand the importance of going slowly and I'm also slow to trust others, I am looking for a male dom, someone to get to know, and who can take me under their wing and help me discover my likes and dislikes, along with answer my arising questions as they come along. Although I have no qualms talking to anyone, for I'm always willing and open to learn more and try new things. I have practiced some self bondage, but I have never been with anyone who knows of my interest in being a submissive, thus I'm still unsure of all of my desires. However, I do know that I want to be treated with respect, thus no abbusive names and such. I believe condescending someone has nothing to do with their being a submissive. I'm also not into anything concerning needles and knives; being whipped is exciting, bleeding is not.

I hope this thread has been clear, however if you have any questions and/or replies to my thread, they will be greatly appreciated, along with advice. I look forward to meeting you all, and growing into a better submissive for a master some day down the road.

    Truly Yours,
    Kardi

I too want to enter slowly into the BDSM community. I have been browsing the site for almost a yr, sheepishly just reading the stories and making my own fantasies, but I would like to take it to the next level. Problem is that I am slightly overweight and wondered if this is a problem in the community (5'9", 190lbs, DDD breasts)

Is size and shape a problem in a community that adores all shapes and sizes? No, it's not. I'm 5'6 and 190 pounds of curvy woman, it hasn't slowed me down a bit.

If anything, perhaps taking it to the next level will help you find the confidence to start loving who you are and the wonderful things that you have to offer.

Me? I'm at one with my duality. I switch, therefore I am.

All sizes, shapes, colors etc add excitement to a bdsm life. I have never felt more secure in the desirability of my body as I do now. BDSM somehow brings things beyond the surface looks. I have never had such confidence in myself. I look nothing like the pages of a fashion magazine yet I exude confidence, even in my vanilla life. So fear not, take your time, explore your sexuality, enjoy your unique self, and realize your size doesn’t matter. Who you are is much more important when submitting or dominating. Welcome to the forums.

    Dear Deliasubbie,

I'm very happy that you decided to post on the thread. Welcome to the community! Although I am new to this, which I admit, I do know that there is something about bdsm that gives one self confidence. Just take your time, be patient, and enjoy it! There is nothing more empowering than believing in yourself! If you ever want to chat, please feel free to contact me!

    Sincerely,
    Kardi
