    Question about sub space

I've seen many references to subspace. When I find information about it, it seems that it has to do with an endorphin high that either allows the sub only to focus on the scene &/or his/her partner, or blurs their focus in some way that limits it to the scene, etc. First of all, do I have a basic idea of what this is? Second of all, I've also seen it referred to as something you need to be cautious of. Isn't subspace a good thing? Are there dangers I'm not aware of regarding sub space?

Sometimes I really hate being a newbie at things.

For me it is a hyperfocusing. Nothing exists for me but what i directly experience at that moment.

The only danger for most people is if you are with a partner that doesn't know how to handle it. You really can get so far "out there" (or "in there" depending on your point of view) that you are unable to safeword.

Sub drop afterward can be troubling, but again it is mainly about how it is handled.

i have to be "talked down" very carefully -- just like the control tower talking down a nervous pilot.

NOTE TO SELF: "Sadistic rat bastard, Sir!" is not a safeword!

There's another thread somewhere on here that Selash started. I'm sure there are more threads about it, you might search for it.

Thanks, Rhabbi. I had already read the first two, but the last one I hadn't and it has proved the most helpful to me.

Thanks for all the other responses as well. I appreciate the guidance and the respectful tone of all responses to me as of yet.
