Misconception

It was peculiar
to watch the ice-queen melt
while he weaved
a web of hoarfrost,

impermeable

as her insistence
to be the source
of the icy coldness
flaring around her.

Yet, it was him
who carried the storm-front
and it was her
who had slowly resolved

to be snow-blind.
